In brief: okeanvolos.ru is the platform of a hair-extension studio in Moscow. How did it start?
In hair extensions a client hardly ever asks “what do you do”. She asks two things: how will it look and how much does it cost. An ordinary brochure site answers exactly those two worst of all: the price hides in a list and the result is shown with a couple of photos.
So the site was built around two tools. The calculator gives a price for the chosen parameters immediately, with no call and no waiting for a reply in chat. The before-and-after gallery shows the studio’s real work rather than stock images.
The second part of the job was advertising. A site with booking is useless if nobody arrives, so Yandex Direct was set up in parallel with goals and call tracking: now it is not just visit counts but how many enquiries and calls each campaign brought in.
